I first came across Evelyn’s stunning jewellery in a lovely craft shop in Walpole, Western Australia and then again in Cowaramup. Buying these pieces made me curious about the artist and so I then went on her website. So many beautiful pieces, I just had to treat myself to more. The Colours and shapes of each bead are so unique, gorgeous and vibrant.
Recently Evelyn has kindly made me a very special custom-made bracelet, and it’s turned out to be an absolute stunner. I’m so happy with this creation Evelyn. Thank you.

Meet Evelyn
Guardian of the traditional art of Bohemian glass bead making.
The sturdy, faithful lamp that gives your handmade Henschke beads their class and quirk is over 90 years old.
Classically trained goldsmith and jeweller. I need to learn the rules before I break them, and I learned from the best. In 2002, I won a late-blooming adult apprenticeship at the Academy for Glass and Jewellery in Kaufbeuren. As an inspired student soaking up everything on offer, I went on to win several awards. I also fell hopelessly in love with glass bead making.
From Bavaria to Broome. In 2005, my training took me to work experience with the renowned West Australian Jewellers, Linneys. In cahoots with their switched-on staff and several adventurous clients, we put pearls + beads + neoprene to work. The results were mesmerising, and well … the rest is history.
Confirmed Cowaramup coast dweller. I share a home with my husband and son and my studio with two temperamental cats. My jewellery mirrors its magical forested, oceanic environment. And I’ve morphed into a soccer-playing Margaret River Mermaid.
